In early quarantine, I founded and produced Collab Light Into Earth, a series progressive-rock covers by an international roster of musicians. Initially intended to be a fun one-off, the covers grew in scope and ambition, culminating in a full cover of Porcupine Tree’s 2002 album In Absentia.
In addition to curating an individual “band” for each song, I managed a talented team of producers, engineers, and video editors to bring this video to light (as well as contributing guitars, synths, arranging, and mixing on a few songs).
More information on the project can be found here.
For some reason in 2018, I wrote an absolutely unhinged script about a lobster. It sat on my hard for five years until I finally succumbed to the urge to bring it to life. Working with an amazing crew of friends, I directed and edited this monstrosity, which I take full responsibility for.
Major “props” (yes I know you got the pun but it’s funnier if I point it out) to Kelsey Murphy, who went above and beyond to being Felicia to life. This would not have succeeded without her.
Some fun facts about the film:
-Yes, we really bought $100 of canned fish for a half second insert shot.
-The plastic lobster’s name is Leviticus.
-Leviticus lives in my bathroom, as punishment for his crimes.
